In Switzerland, a national approval document is required if you put more than 5 vehicles of the same type onto the market each year – regardless of whether you are a general vehicle importer with European approval or whether the vehicles have been manufacturer or converted in Switzerland. In both cases, you must apply for a Swiss type approval from the Federal Road Office.
