Certification of rockfall protection systems

As an accredited and notified body (EU identification number NB 2251) in line with ISO/IEC 17065, we carry out conformity assessments for the certification and CE marking of rockfall protection systems and barriers.

We provide a comprehensive range of services:

• Test site for horizontal tests with rockfall protection systems
• Production monitoring (FPC)

We carry out conformity assessment procedures for rockfall protection systems in line with EAD 340059-00-106 (previously ETAG 027, European Technical Approval Guideline for falling rock protection kits). The rockfall protection systems consist of:

• Nets and mesh
• Ropes, supporting ropes
• Brakes
• Supports and a foundation

Certification is based on the technical documentation from the manufacturer as well as reports from the testing and inspection bodies.
